Jack-o-Lantern with Wal Mart Solar Lamp

This solar jack-o-lantern uses the top of our solar lights purchased from Wal Mart two years ago. In place of the 'top', the stem, this pumpkin face lights up beautifully.

This pumpkin face is inserted with a color changing LED solar light from a hummingbird yard decor. This one has to be inserted nightly into the head after the small solar panel on the yard light charges daily. On the top of the pumpkin face, behind the stem, made a small hole with a knife.

See the pumpkins face turn green.

Another Pumpkin lit UP by Solar

Another pumpkin with a more traditional face. This pumpkin has the changing LED light inserted in Head by stem.

Best Tasting PUMPKIN SEEDS Recipe

Take pumpkin seeds, the big meaty ones out of your pumpkin. Place the seeds in a colander, clean and take out the pumpkin bat, (that is the fleshy stuff in between seeds)and rinse under cold water until seeds are clean. Damp dry them with a towel. Place on a buttered baking sheet. Add 2-6 tablespoon of butter and 1/2 teaspoon of salt and bake at 275 degree for anywhere between 15-60 minutes, rotating seeds every 10-15 minutes so they don't burn. Take out and try. They may need to go back in if they are too chewy. Delicious.
