Supplies Needed

Juice Box Sail Boat Supplies
  • "Empty" juice boxes. The pictures shows Juicy Juice and Minute Maid juice boxes.

  • Scissors.

  • Hole Puncher.

  • Straws.

  • Construction Paper, thin sheet of sturdy plastic (colors are available, or cut a waterproof sail out the side of a milk, ice tea container. (For SpongeBob Boat, sail was cut out of notebook cover as shown in picture.)

  • Markers, Crayons, or Sticker to decorate Juice Box Boat.

    Directions:

  • Cut a small "X" or a small puncture in middle of the juice box. (see top Photo)

  • Cut a triangle out of the milk carton, the construction paper etc. and DECORATE.

  • Punch a hole at the top and the bottom of one side of the triangle.

  • Slip straw through one end and out the other.

  • Insert the straw into the juice box. Keep the small drinking straw (the one the juice box came with) handy if you made the 'hole' too big. You can just snip an inch of that small straw and add to the hole where the big straw is. It'll makes it sturdier.

  • Now the most important step...Place in water and Blow like the wind! Watch the sails catch the "Great Winds"!
